Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that designs systems capable of processing large volumes of data from its environment bylearning from and, from this learning, making decisions or performing actions.

Its aim is to reproduce in a machine the core of what we consider intelligence: the ability to absorb information from the environment and use it to act autonomously and effectively. However, this learning and decision-making is, for the moment, one ofsimulation of the human process: AI does not understand the world as we do, but identifies statistical patterns in the data to behaveas if  had an intelligence similar to our own.
